Here’s the latest trailer from the final season of Spartacus, entitled “War of the Damned.” Creator/Executive Producer Steven DeKnight has done an excellent job crafting a unique story filled with blood, heartache and redemption, as our hero looks to free the people from Roman occupation. This season looks to be the best yet, but I’m curious to see what you all thought of this new trailer? Share your thoughts with us in the comments section below.
Synopsis: Gaius Claudius Glaber is dead. Many months have passed since his defeat, and the rebel army, led by Spartacus and his generals Crixus, Gannicus and Agron, continue to amass victories over Rome. With the rebel numbers swelling to thousands of freed slaves, it has become a force that has started to challenge even the mighty armies of Rome.
Spartacus is more determined than ever to bring down the entire Roman Republic. Following the death of Ashur, Naevia and Crixus fight as one with newfound strength and determination. And Gannicus, always seeking to
embrace life to the fullest, shares his bed with the beautiful and dangerous Saxa.
Together, the rebels engage in one bloody skirmish after another and prepare for the inevitable: a full out war with Rome.
The Roman Senate turns to its wealthiest citizen, Marcus Crassus, for aid. A powerful, strategic politician, he respects his opponent and refuses to make the same mistakes Glaber and his predecessors have. With a young and fiercely competitive Julius Caesar as an ally, Crassus is determined to crush Spartacus and his rebellion.
The epic conclusion of a legendary journey, Spartacus: War of the Damned will unleash a battle unlike anything ever seen before.

I had no idea that Julius Ceaser was a Blonde, lol……and im wondering how they going to end it?….they say they never found Spartacus body after his last battle….others say he was crucified….this has been truely a GREAT show….:D
Historically Sparacus intention was not to bring down the roman republic. It was to escape from the roman ground and go to live somewhere else in Europe(probably Gaul or Germania). When he reached the Alpes with his comrades after several victories, he had the chance to achieve his goal. However his comrades were eager to continue to fight the romans in Italy. He chose to follow them probably knowing that his fate was sealed.

Thanks for informative and helpful post.
While it's definitely got a grittier, Nolan-feel, I hope the performances and script live up to what I'm seeing.
