J.J. Abrams’ highly anticipated new post-apocolyptic epic, Revolution, premieres next Monday, Septemper 17th at 10 PM on NBC. However, if you live in the NYC area, you may have the chance to see it earlier. NBC is having a free, open to the public screening of the show this Tuesday, September 4th at Hudson River Park’s Pier 57 on 15th street. Doors open at 7:30, but it’s probably a good idea to get there ahead of time, as seats are first come, first serve.

The event not only aims to give sci-fi fans a glimpse of the new series, it’s also working as an opportunity to spotlight alternative transportation by acting as New York’s first bike in screening. Guests are encouraged to bike to the premiere, and valet parking specific for bikes will be available at the event.

It is highly recommended that you RSVP for the event, but it isn’t in any way required.

UPDATE: If you’re in the area and definitely want to come out to this, there are ten VIP passes available to the first ten people to comment on this post! These passes offer guaranteed seating at the screening. They are available on a first come first serve basis only, so comment soon!

Hope to see you there!
