Here is me and Roth’s review of the latest True Blood episode “Let’s Boot and Rally”. I’m just filling in for Jenna, as we explain in the video, and she should be back next week. Let us know what you think of the episode, thanks!

Cool Review Roth & Dennis! So sorry to hear about Jenna but glad she's on the mend (tell her to try some V)! Terry is a murderer – nooooo say is ain't so! Terry was the one person who we thought hadn't murdered someone – well Welcome to Bon Temps – Home of Supes, Murderers & Bigots! And now there's a some kind of vigilante van squad going around murdering Supes and they decided to start with the Shifters, what becasue they are easy pickins? Emma is cutest baby wolf EVER! And I'm really not buying that Roman could be soooo blinded by Salome and her ancient coochie, that he can't see that she's playing the long game. Wake up Roman loosen your tie old man!
Great review. I can bet Salome is the one who dug Russell up that woman is a snake! At first I was skeptical of the Terry storyline but now i think its interesting I like the idea of them being hunted by a fire demon. I am so happy to see Russell back. he is the villian I hate to love. Awwww go Russell!
The big difference between true blood and all other supernatural series is that it people know the existence of the supernatural, so I like when they explor that, like when Sam said he's a shapeshifter, as if it was something normal. I think this season is about who is the bigest threat. The Authority think is the humans, the sup-haters will suport that. The sanguinistas think is the vamps, so the fairies will show fear for them.
Lafa's mom make laugh screaming because of the head, like it was a phone to be answer.
Terry still doesn't have any supernatural powers. He is just cursed by his past by a middle eastern demon.
I hope that Pam is just putting Tara through some tough love because she is a newbie vampire and she is trying to teach her the ropes.A parent shouldn't treat their child as a slave. I guess we'll see if Pam is a "decent" vampire beneath that tough sarcastic exterior.
Damn, I really wasn't looking that much forward to this season, I have to admit. Season 4 was ups and downs for me. But season 5 is awesome so far. There are some storylines I don't care for, like the Terry story and the Ifrit (seriously, every person can put a real curse on his or her killer?). But Pam, the shifter killings, new Sookie, and of course the Authority are things I enjoy really much.
Great review. I hope Jenna feels better by now.
This season is becoming one of the best seasons so far. All the things that didn't work the last season, like Tara, Sookie and the fairies ("war is coming") now work great. Bringing new cultures and beliefs to the table keeps it fresh.
I hope Roth is right about the zombies, the more the marrier (first was The Walking Dead, then came Game of Thrones with the Wights and hopefully True Blood is next in line) but I think the secret vampire woman might not be Salome after all Think about it, they gave too much signals that she's the mole so it won't be a surprise anymore when we see her face, we won't get to have a jaw dropping moment. It would be a shock if Pam, a fan favorite, actually lied to Eric and rescued Russell. It's a strech, but I'm just saying that it could be one hell of a cliffhanger. If I'm wrong I'll take my chance with Lafayette's special Gumbo, praying the Brujo won't come to visit him that day :p
Totally agree with Sookie's character this season; it is much better, much closer to the Sookie I loved in the book series and the one I've been missing for the past four years. The chip on her shoulder is falling away, and she'd starting to get a sense of who she is and how she relates to others.
I am deeply offended with the Terry storyline. First, as a Marine, I'm not a fan of the men portrayed as drugged out killers. That's so disrespectful to me, and I don't know why they had to go there. Second, Terry has been a favorite and this 'side' of him reminds me of the way Sam was shown to be a cold-blooded killer a few seasons back. It seems more for shock value than anything else. I do like the Ifrit, that's a cool legend/myth whatever you want to call it, but I think there could've been a better way to introduce that.
If Salome isn't working the Authority from the inside, I will be shocked. Great recap, thank you!
Roth, I like your nail polish? What is it?
Drunk Sookie is my favorite Sookie. I really love that she's not a damsel in distress like many female characters we see.
I want to see more fairies!
I'm extremely curious about what's going on with Jesus.
