“You need to exorcise Speedy’s ghost, once and for all”
This week’s episode of Young Justice finally gave us those character building moments we’ve been asking for, with surprising revelations about some of our favorite heroes. I want to begin by discussing the adventures of Blue Beetle and Connor Kent as they take care of some “personal business.” Being able to hear the artificial intelligence inside of Beetle’s head was enjoyable, as Connor just looks on in confusion. Beetle is not a character that I’m particularly familiar with, and when DC Comics relaunched their 52 titles, I didn’t pick up his comic book, so the refresher course on his origin story was a welcomed addition to the episode. It appears that the suit’s A.I. is more aggressive than Jaime, as it informs him that breaking bone would be a more effective way to subdue the bad guys. Most of the team don’t take him seriously, due to his schizophrenic behavior, but after his adventure with Superboy, he has proven himself to be a valuable asset. I assume that the question on everyone’s mind is, who was the mysterious figure standing next to Sportsmaster? Do you think he could be one of Darkseid’s acolytes from Apokolips?
Another of the many big reveals in “Salvage,” was the long awaited return of Red Arrow, who is in desperate need of a shave and some sleep. I’m not sure why he’s chosen to take on a life of crime. If he would just join the Justice League, than Bruce could help fund his campaign to find the real Roy Harper. The demons of his past are clouding his judgement, and it’s painful to watch him reject all the people that love and care about him. Apparently, turning to a life of crime is not the only activity that Roy’s been up to over these past five years. The return of Cheshire, or Jade as Roy calls her, revealed that he is a new father, and now there is a chance that he might be able to find the original Speedy. Perhaps exorcising “Speedy’s ghost” will allow him to move on with his life, but Cheshire is not the trustworthy type, so is Roy headed for redemption, or destruction?
In closing, let’s journey into Wally West’s little love nest that he has with Artemis. Some of you were saying that those two are your favorite couple on the show, and I would have to agree, due to the lack of “drama” that surrounds their relationship. I wonder if the situation with Aqualad caused Kid Flash to hang up his suit? He seems content with the way things are at home, and who could blame him? If I had a beautiful young lady buying me a Valentines Day feast, I wouldn’t want to fight arch villains either. Does this mean that Artemis has given up a well? As far as we know, Barry Allen is still The Flash on the Justice League, but I can’t help but wonder if they’ll kill him off in order to force Wally back on the team. He can’t stay cooped up with Artemis forever, can he? As always, I’d love to see what you all thought of this week’s episode in the comments section below.

This was such a good episode B+ . but i'd like to correct you David , among other people , i watched Batman the brave and the bold the last 2-3 years, the premise of the show is Batman an A list super would team-up with C sometimes D class heroes to fight C and D class villains , a regular on that show was Blue Beetle he was in like every other episode. we got to see his origin story and everything , in that show though he costume spoke in English.
Now to get to the Super Hero intervention which was cool. seeing Wally left me a little underwhelmed , did he grow at all?, i mean i know Dick had to get a growth spurt so his body can catch up to his big ass ears ,but even Artemis who was looking like a house bunny grey , but what the hey. i was really glad to see them all and it was so interesting to here that Cheshire went on the Blue side for a little while anyways , as for the wife and baby thing , i did not see that coming and i can't decide weather am for it or against it , but the writers haven't proven me wrong yet ,
now about Conner i blame the unusually testosterone level but i did not like him at all last season, yelling and being angry all the time, i mean i found it poetic that he found a huge wolf dog as a pet because that's exactly what he was acting like , but he's comedown alot and i really like that.
as for sports master's partner at first i did think it was someone from Apokolips or even Darkside himself but then he mention straying from the light , if memory serves Darkside wasn't a member of the light and he didn't like humans good or evil so i don't think he would join either , but i could be wrong , can't wait to find out
This was a very straightfoward episode, but I would really like to see Wally as the Flash. I'm still a fan of Justice League

Very good episode. A. I really liked the fact that it fleshed out the original team more and answered most questions about what happened during the 5 year gap. It really opened up lots of possibilities on what could happen next few episodes (What drove Wally and Artemis to leave their alter egos and live normal lives? Who is the mysterious "Partner" (Black Beetle anyone?) Does Chesire have a secret motive in helping her husband find the real Roy Harper?) I WANNA WATCH THE NEXT EPISODE ALREADY!
Does any body else get the feeling that the baby might be a clone made from the original Speedy and Chesire to trip roy to keep looking?I know it`s a rude thing to say seeing how she temporally gave up super villainy to get married with roy but knowing her back story i find it quite possible.To finish up my statement for all of the 4 members left the young justice for there personal reasons . I get the feeling that the writers will be bringing them back through out the season at least for one last time . has far has zatana and rocket, You have me there
once again the comic fan in me been satisfied with more comic book references. it's pretty clear that was meant to a "fill the blanks " kinda episode to answer most of the questions about the five gap. I'm like most of you in hoping something happens to barry so wally can become flash again. the blue beetle talking to himself joke was funny in the begining but their starting to ware it out a bit. Loving how there taking so many things from the comics and not changing them to much and i think its safe to roy's daughter won't end up like the comic since its a kids show. all in al it was still a good episode since it wasn't meant to be a action episode.

Really love this episode, all the references were amazing. I have a good feeling that Sport Master's "Partner" Is black beetle, the look of the weapon that fires his sonic attack is exactly the same as Blue Beetles, in fact, it almost looks like the same frame has been used for both Blue and the Partner. Definitely something to consider any ways.
George I don't personally think that the baby is a clone, Cheshire called the baby Lian which is the name of her's and Roy's child in the comics, also the baby is a girl (as in the comics). However I do like they way your thinking and it could very well be true!
Once again, this is a kid's show?
