Check out these behind the scenes looks at ‘Battleship,’ starring Liam Neeson and Rihanna. Director Peter Berg (Friday Night Lights) brings his storytelling talents to the world of aliens and large machines blowing things up. The buzz surrounding this film has been underwhelming, but with its international box-office success, I don’t think Peter Berg and company care what the critics have to say. Do you see any potential in ‘Battleship?’
-Synopsis: Peter Berg (Hancock) produces and directs Battleship, an epic-scaled action-adventure that unfolds across the seas, in the skies and over land as our planet fights for survival against a superior force. Inspired by Hasbro’s classic naval combat game, Battleship stars Taylor Kitsch as Lt. Alex Hopper, a Naval officer assigned to the USS John Paul Jones; Brooklyn Decker as Sam Shane, a physical therapist and Hopper’s fiancee; Alexander Skarsgard as Hopper’s older brother, Stone, Commanding Officer of the USS Sampson; Rihanna as Petty Officer Raikes, Hopper’s crewmate and a weapons specialist on the USS John Paul Jones; and international superstar Liam Neeson as Hopper and Stone’s superior (and Sam’s father), Admiral Shane.

Can't believe you guys are having to wait over a month more than the UK to see this. Trust me…It's as awesomely shit as you thought it would be and is therefore immune to criticism.
Worth seeing? Even if it's just for the explosions?
Saw it a week ago and it was shitty like Transformers but much better. Fun explostions and action, funny old style one liners and Rihanna is decent enough (much better than Brooklyn Decker). It’s not Shakespeare but it’s entertaining and good enough for a matinee
Cool. Might have to see it then
