I am estatic that Fringe has been given another season so things can be wrapped up properly. It's amazing! I never thought the show would get this far…sort of like "Chuck" I guess. I too have no problem with 13 episodes.
I will miss the alt universe but I think creatively the writers made the right call as we couldn't keep going on with it. I really hope it works out for Lincoln. May his parents are already dead and he has no family left. Of course he'll have to start from scratch and learn the history of the alt universe…and also hope he doesn't get wiped out by one of the seemingly many plagues they endure over there.
So what can we expect for season 13? I beleive we will delve deeper into the childhood trials Olivia endured and see more of William Bell's end game.
As long as they don't go back to the freak of the week storylines of season one…but that's unlikely.

Agreed! I think the time frame will serve the show really well!
also instead of killing the 26, they could of just kidnapped them and dumped them in the alternate universe.
