Here is the full trailer for the Total Recall remake movie starring Colin Farrell. What do you think? I’m worried that this movie will take itself too seriously and won’t have any of the humor and satire of the original movie. I think that if it wasn’t called Total Recall I wouldn’t have known it was a remake of the 1990 Paul Verhoeven version.

This looks terrible. Yet another reminder that not everything NEEDS to have a remake. Especially not a film that was great and came out just in the 1990s. Was a remake really necessary?
I wouldn't see this as a remake of Verhoevens movie. More like another adaptation of P.K. Dick's novel, but this time truer to it's source material. It also looks more like the tv series Total Recall 2070, which always had a vibe from Blade Runner for me.
Having said that, nothing in this trailer made me excited. It looks very generic, like something I've seen in 20 movies in the past 10 years.

That being said I think I will go see it just because I think it touches on a much more intriguing and perplexing conflict and that would most certainly be the choice between:
BECKINSALE or BIEL
Truly a decision that could make any man lose his mind and wish for a place that could alter his memories (to have BOTH!).

When i saw this Trailer, i said to myself, "where have i heard of Total Recall before?……i knew of the name but not who was in the movie or what the movie was all bout…(u see what 22 yrs does to u, lol)….so anyway i went to my movie site and found the 1990 movie with good old Arnold and Sharon Stone….WOW what a movie…i didnt remember ever watching it, how did i ever miss it?, lol…..
as to this Trailer…..it seems like the same as the original movie…but like u say Dennis, it looks too serious, not like the Arnold comic version of it….but made now in 2012, it should give us more effects to make the movie good……☺……
Farrell may not be the perfect actor for this role since I can't remember any remarkable action movie of him. But seeing the trailer makes me think that he may give the essentials on what the role is asking from his acting. Hope the whole movie will give justice to the past version of Total Recall.
