You know, during that episode what I wondered is how Elijah's note got on Alena's bed. I don't remember Elijah ever being invited into her house. ???
Aunt Jenna invited Elijah in during Season 2.
Awesome review, guys! I was kind of floored by the whole episode because it's going back to the dark place of season 1 – no happy endings and a whole lot of mayhem & dying! And Damon making the sacrific to be the bad one. I was also sad to see Klaus just give up on Caroline. I hope he forgives her (as opposed to seeking evil revenge & staking her) so they can explore their attraction further. I guess Tyler and Jeremy are due back soon for an appearance? Rebekkah…oooooo, hate that girl! She is cunning and ruthless like Klaus, more so I think.
Rick has been stabbed, shot, run over – it's true! How many ways can this poor guy die? I thought he was safe last night after the gunshot what with magic ring and all, but then remembered…that only works if he is hurt by supernatural forces. Uh, oh! I hope he's not the latest parent or guardian to be killed/turned!
i love ur reviews! and i absolutely love klaus and caroline, although after last night's episode i really hope the writers havent ruined that storyline. by the way it was hilarious when klaus tried to catch up with caroline and almost got run over!!

Good review. I found the episode really frustrating All that tension and flirting between Elena and Damon seemed to be reaching fruition and then nothing Also, Elena’s retorrt “get over it” was so out of character.; it made no sense.

TVD is drama heavy for sure…
I didn't like it. Bonnie/Abby were plot devices. Caroline was a plot device. Bonnie hasn't suffered the most unless you count being undeveloped as a character. Elena is the worst. Klaus/Caroline is cute but badly written/plotted. Alaric dying again is bad plotting. Elijah loves Elena now? WTF? There some good parts. If the rest of the season doesn't improve then this'll be the worst season.
Very poor episode and season. I hope it improves.
The lesson of this series is, you can go around murdering randomly but if you're hot enough then all will be forgiven. This is true with Klaus and also Elijah. Elijah is a fan favorite, even though he brutally decapitated a young man last season.
And now, because Elena had sympathy for this monster, he will live and kill more. Way to go Elena.
I think we have to throw away all of our understandings of reason when we watch TVD, hahaha. You're right, this is way different than it would be in the "real world."
First: I have to say, that I really liked the episode! But Second: WTF?!?! 1000 years ago, there where no horses in America! So they definately couldn't walk and graze peacefully in a romantic lovely landscape… Even I know that, and I'm from Germany!
I hope Caroline doesn't forget that it was Klaus who killed poor Aunt Jenna. It was also Klaus who wanted Tyler to kill Caroline at one point. Maybe he wanted Tyler to bite Caroline so he could save her with his original hybrid blood (he's manipulative like that haha!). I hope Klaus remains a regular and doesn't get killed off.
Go Elena. She gave Rebekkah the head butt! I'm still mad at her for playing around with both brothers, she knows she likes them both fawning all over her. She plays the humble person way too much.
I really did like this episode…Caroline and klaus are Epic!…The mother is my favorite and i wondering how Bonnie is Goint to deal with her mom being a vampire
please let the writers not end klaroline! I love them together. I don’t know why but for some reason Elena is getting on my nerves.
