It’s hard not to feel some kind of emotional response when a cute little girl is about to be killed by The Reapers. Bioware is using an interesting advertisement tactic in order to stir an emotional response. These stimulating responses are what advertisers make their money on, but the whole “cute-little-kid-about-to-die” motif is something ‘Modern Warfare 3′ tried and failed in. What do you think? I want to point out that this has nothing to do with my overall opinion of the game, it’s just that I’m not sure how I feel about this ad. What are your thoughts? ME3 will be released on March 6, 2012.

I think because they don't actually show the killing of the girl, it's more effective than MW3. It's more like impending doom on Earth itself and they use a cute little girl to make us seem more vulnerable. Not the best ad but not bad.

Good point. MW3's scene was laughable, but I didn't laugh at this one…
I've not heard about the Modern Warfare 3 one. I've just had a look at it on youtube… I'm not sure what the divide of opinion is and I'll freely admit I'm over blowing this but that's despicable, I'm sorry but whoever thought that up should be ashamed of themselves.
ME3's killing off children is just as bad. But at least Mass Effect is a fully fictional setting and the context of it's story has always made it clear that this is a complete eradication on a galactic scale and they didn't have the gall to show it in detail. MW3 just took a real world threat and tragedy (I'm pretty sure London had Bombings a few years ago) and used it to one up themselves from their stunt in the last game.
Fuck those guys! God Dammit I'm angry now.

ME's use is just as bad but it's at least a fully fictional setting and it suits the context of it's story. Fuck you activision for taking a real world threat and tragedy and dressing it up to out do your moronic content from the last game.
God Dammit I'm angry about this one.
