Here is the first trailer for The Bourne Legacy, the fourth in the franchise and the first without Matt Damon. Jeremy Renner plays the lead role (not Jason Bourne) and Rachel Weisz and Edward Norton are also in the film. The movie will be directed by Tony Gilroy and opens on August 3rd later this year.

God damn Hollywood doesn't know when to leave anything alone. Telling me the studios didn't make enough money on the first 3 they have to try to milk this dead horse?!
-AND- it's just like I have bitched about in other topics on this site, it's more of the undermining of once great characters: "Jason Bourne, was just the tip of the ice berg." Nothing more than more of that bulllshit of taking your epic characters and shitting on them in order to spin some half developed, half digested, wholly regurgitated BS. "He's Treadstone without the inconsistency."
I mean this whole trailer pukes half-baked-big-budget guano wrapped in a couple bigger names, with a lead who has only done mediocre roles as the side-kick or bad guy. It also lacks the pop or zing or energy or call it what you will that all 3 of the predecessors had. It looks like any other cheap action flick that doesn't even make it to your local Red Box.
I'm more than far from convinced. Renner will have to somehow become a veritable Messiah in order to not be scoffed as a wannabe in a craptacular spin-off.
