“The strong survive, the noble overcome.”

How do you go about deciding who the baddest bounty hunter in the universe is?  By putting them in a giant box of death and seeing who comes out alive of course.  ”The Box” was a fun episode, which showcased the cunning and camaraderie of some of the best guns for hire that money can buy.  The purpose of this competition was to see which bounty hunter would be best suited to lead an assault on Chancellor Palpatine in order to kidnap him.  It was no shock that Obi-Wan Kenobi was the best in the group, but the real surprise was seeing Cad Bane rescue Obi during the final challenge.  It seems that Bane has some sense of honor.  Since Obi-Wan was unwilling to kill Moralo Eval in the end, Count Dooku chose Cad Bane to take charge of the mission.  I still find it astonishing how well Obi-Wan has learned to fit in with these bounty hunters, while still being an honorable man.

As many of you know, the Clone Wars series is at its best during its less epic moments, like the conversation between Anakin and Yoda at the beginning of the episode.  Yoda’s words to Anakin are haunting as he says, “A powerful Jedi you are, yet unpredictable and dangerous you can be, to both your friends and your enemies.”  Yoda pleads for Anakin to have patience, but that’s not his style.

Now that Anakin knows Obi-Wan is still alive, what will he do next?  I’d love to hear what you all thought about Yoda’s message to Anakin.  I find it interesting that Anakin doesn’t even try to deny that he’s dangerous.  Was there ever any hope for Anakin, or was choosing the dark side part of his destiny all along?  I can’t wait to see how this arc concludes next week!
