Check out what me and Roth thought of the season 2 premiere episode of AMC’s The Walking Dead. What did you think of the premiere and what are your “rules” for surviving a zombie apocalypse?

I am just wondering how viable a zombie TV series is. The rinse and repeat of zombie attacks plus the hopelessness of the situation does not lend itself to a long form type of serialized television. It became a problem in the first season and its already a problem after the first episode here.
Don't be surprised to see a drop off start after a couple of episodes.
Maybe what Dr. Jenner told Rick is related to the the zombie herd syndrome? That the zombies mutated or evovled somehow and they can communicate and even start building a very small and primitive groups with a leader and a few followers (like in Cell by Stephen King). I hope it's not something like "Your wife is pregnant" (reminder – Dr. Jenner took blood work) because it's too obvious and that means he's keeping in secret the fact that he knows his wife cheated on him, all the way from the CDC without even saying a word?! Perhaps it's understandable if you add another rule to the "Surviving a zombie apocalypse rules":Don't tell your wife you know about the infidelity, you need her parenting the child and there are no any known alive single females that would date you LOL
The contaminated blood – it's happening since the first season so maybe your'e infected only by a zombie bite… I know it's lame but it's a "Don't fight it, embrace it" thing.
I just wanted to add I'm glad TWD returned to a second season and it was a very nice review. "The slay!!" part was hilarious
It bothers me that they don't clean the zombie blood off themselves, but I remember it doesn't matter as everyone are infected already and will rise as a zombie regardless the cause, the lethal zombie bite only speed up the process… Here's zombie facts from the Walking Dead wiki – http://walkingdead.wikia.com/wiki/Zombie#Basic_In...
I do agree that some areas were lacking… Felt that some parts left me confused (the wasting of water syndrome , the I wanna kill myself syndrome , the let’s run off together syndrome , the talking to walkie syndrome , the go take a closer look at the wild animal, son, syndrome ) cos it just doesn’t make sense. Some of the characters were more of a background scenery in this episode as they don’t really contribute to the storyline, like the Korean dude, he seemed like one who’s got the smarts last season , and in this episode, all I remember from him is smiling when he has the badass machete in his hands…. Despite the minor flaws, I’m just glad that TWD is back. I guess I’ve got the “Star Wars : Episode 1″ syndrome. You Guys Rule, More Power To ThinkHero!!!
I actually liked the episode very much. As for my rules for surviving a zombie apocalypse: just don't act like 90% of the people on the show :p
I'm really trying to enjoy this show without being overly critical of the details. First let me preface this with the statement "I am not a horror fan.". And, even though the infected blood issue is bothersome. It doesn't effect me enough to take the enjoyment I get from the story. Looking at the scene where they gut the zombie to check the contents of his last meal can be scutinized, but it still doesn't change the great charcter development throughout this story. (How did it swallow a whole skull?) The thing that amazes me most about this show is that I hate blood&guts horror flicks, yet I love this. Reason: The story. Not only from the characters reaction to the situations they are in, but more importantly from the interaction between them. Thanks, Dennis & Roth, for reviewing this show. Please continue for the season.
I'm hoping they don't stick to the books, as it would be way too predictable (let;s be realistic, the fan base is mostly made up of people who read the g.novels) Also, that would be way depressing
Love the Judging your Zombie Apocalypse! lol . Keep em coming
From what's been happening on the show so far in Season 1 and 2 it's a lot different than the comic books so it definitely has new stuff for people who've already read it.

All my friends and people I know that watch the show, none of them have heard about the TWD comics/novels before so the creators can make it the same (Game of Thrones) or totally different (True Blood). I don't mind, as long as they keep doing it great (and make Andrea less annoying).
