Earlier today, Geek Tyrant posted this movie poster for the upcoming rerelease of ‘The Phantom Menace’ in 3D. Of the three prequels this was my least favorite, but it was also the film that introduced me to my favorite character in the ‘Star Wars’ universe. Darth Maul was an excellent villain, and it’s a shame that Lucas decided to kill him at the end of Episode 1. Many people have argued that Maul should have endured through the entire prequel run, and died at the hands of Anikin in ‘Revenge of the Sith.’ Thankfully, Darth Maul will be featured in ‘The Clone Wars‘ animated series this spring on the Cartoon Network. What do you think of the rerelease? Are you going to give Mr. Lucas more of your money? I know I am.

i can't wait for this so excited hell i'd watch it in 3D & 2D a couple times over….i mean the saga is amazing stuff so can't wait
3d is complete junk!! especially a re-make / make-into 3d. i will stay home and watch it on dvd if i need to see it.
I really don't care about the 3D, but Star Wars on the big screen? Come on, it's a no-brainer (even if it's The Phantom Menace, the weakest of the bunch by far).
Is that what Yoda looked like in that movie?? I like how they left out baby darth vader too. I love star wars but episode one was garbage except the light saber fight at the end.
No, he didn't, they changed him in Episode I for the Blu-ray release. He was a puppet, now he's CG like in Episodes II and III.
Darth Maul was pretty awesome. You're really going to see all of these though? I didn't like Jar Jar in the first one (did anyone), but I didn't think it was that bad…not sure of the first 3 which one was my least favorite. I haven't seen them in a while… I kind of think they were all on the same par for me. None really stood above the rest. 6 was my favorite out of the originals…they were all SUPER close, but come on, who doesn't love Ewoks? Lol. Actually, I just liked how everything ended well and it had closure.
