What about Tara saying that everyone she has ever been with has died? Then saying it's a short list. Who else other than Eggs… Am I forgetting someone? Sam isn't dead.
Andy held onto the V evidence from Felton when Crystal and Jason tied him to that tree, or at least part of it last season, in his desk drawer. He had that broken arm too. I am fairly certain that's where it started.
Can't agree with y'all about Pamcakes. She wasn't dangerous enough IMO.
I agree as well about not liking any of the characters-Bill, Eric, Alcide-when they engage with Sookie.
The books handled it much better. I am thrilled about the Eric/Sook connection (mainly because I thought Alan Ball had put up too many obstacles for it to happen. He seemed very one sided there for a short time.) I am not to the point where I am not annoyed by this baby "Ewwwwic" thing. I need Eric to get his memory back, remember his time with Sookie, and for it to be obvious. In the books there was some insinuation but they didn't jump onto it until later in another book where it is confirmed he remembered all the time they had spent together.
I love this review. It is one of my absolute favorites! Thank you!
I enjoyed this episode a lot more than last week. Eric and Sookie , while still mushy, did dial down
the sweetness (the sex scene was hot!) I really enjoyed Jessica and Bill. the dynamic of maker and progeny or
father and daughter was really well played out. But what I really liked , was the fact that they didn't drag out
the Tommy/Sam mystery and that Sam figured out really quickly what Tommy had done. Tommy is the most self destructive character in this show. It use to be Jason, but Tommy takes the cake. the amazing thing about him, is he actually has the gall to look surprised and hurt when people hate him.(BTW, I wouldn't have let him walk out, it's gonna come back to bite Sam in the ass, maybe literally!)
I never thought it could happen but I actually felt sorry for Alcide's girlfriend. who hasn't had doubts about the person they're dating and whether or not they were in love or cared about someone else, (just don't know if i would've brought it up when she did!)
I forgot her name but Pam's helper had me in stiches, but she actually did the right thing.
Great review guys!
I'm glad you brought up the point of people only liking Vampires, when they're NOT being Vampires. I think that exactly the reason why we end up with crap like twilight. you want the power and the possibility of danger, but nobody wants to see the true nature of the beast. It's like people who have tigers and wolves as pets, but act surprised when they get mauled. They forget that although these animals a beautiful to look at , they are in fact wild animals, CARNIVOROUS wild animals!
I agree I miss some of the old Eric, but on the other hand I will rather enjoy their relationship now as much as I can because I can swear there is not gonna be sookie Eric moments after he gains his memory back. By the way the sex scene was hot. I don’t blame Pam for going that far come on…. if some one made me rotten I will be pissed too. Ginger got me cracking up when she mounted Pam’s coffin. Also, I found it funny when that doctor said she could give Pam a discount on the shots. I luv the relationship between Jessica and bill. Also, bill came out of my black book when he went to warn Eric. That was really kind of him. OMG I am loving the hoyt/Jessica /Jason luv triangle.
re: real amnesia or not
Roth' s Theory this has been mentioned a few times. However, Eric as a character, no matter if he remained shirtless the entire remaining life of the show, would totally lose me because then that means he is absolutely forfeiting his relationship with PAM – his progeny. That means he dismisses her suffering, doesn't go and see if she is ok after getting his silver chains etc… That does not fit with Eric of season 3. Geez, don't you remember the "death of a chiId is the worse pain!" I can't believe they would write the character abandoning PAM just to get into Sookie's pants. If that were the case, it would just kill what is my favorite relationship of the whole show.
My theory is going extreme with puppy dog Eric is deliberate for the story arc because it will swing the other way and both of them will have to reconcile with that; plus typically Alan Ball giveth and he taketh away.
The team which is your favorite hot guy is silly but what is interesting is how different the relationship is with each. Bill is paternalistic with Sookie, always trying to protect her like a southern gentleman. Eric likes her warrior spirit and willing takes her as a partner in adventure – ultimately she saves him end of every season. Alcide is a good ole boy who is as predictable and faithful as the family dog. All the guys are hot, all the actors are good, I think viewers just chose the relationship that appeals to them.
Yes, Sookie has kind of a castrating effect on all males she encounters. Her character, in the show at least, is such a goody two shoes with her only interesting sem- flaw is her side penchant for dirty vampire sex. It would be hard for any real "man" or "supe" to be with her and retain their whole character. Having said all that she is obviously pretty forgiving
For all those I've heard say team witch – really! Really, you want to tune in every week to a show about witches with all the vampires having met the true death and check in on who Martonina is sleeping with?!? There is no doubt the show I want to watch. I hope they shred that witch like confetti so all the blood suckers can continue on the seasons as "happy" tormented vampires.
What ever happened to the elves story line? Not that I miss it but I was just wondering.
The love between vampires and their progeny always moves me, like Godric and Eric, Eric and Pam. The way Bill takes care of her, the way he was suffering from her pain.. almost made me cry.
And what about Ginger?! Gosh, if Bill and Jessica made me cry of sadness, Ginger made me cry for laughing to hard. She mounted Pam's coffin like she was riding a mechanic bull. LOL
Hottest sex scene ever on TV!
Loving this season.
Ginger on Pam's coffin. 'Nuff said xD
Hey guys, just wanted to thank you all for watching our reviews and leaving comments. (This is Jenna, by the way.) xoxo
When Jessice opened the door and the episode ended…I wanted to throw the tv out of the window lol
They can't do that to their viewers, ending like that. I hope Tara will become a force to be reckoned with because the new Tara kick ass, maybe next season she'll be "Tara – The Vampire Slayer" :p
I wonder what will happen to Jason now that he is not a were panther, because in the book he was and also about the fae?I am kind of sick of Eric. He is one dimensional and for a few episodes it is okay but not for 6. I think they drew out the story line too long. I think that the nanny might help them stop the witches. It would be a good mesh of two story lines.
This is Great! We'll never take old BAMF Eric for granted again!!!
"Sookie welcome to my dungeon."
Indeed
!

I really want to second Jenna and say thanks so much for watching and for commenting — I really do appreciate it and read everything!

Great episode, great review. I think everyone knows that Jessica will not die. TB has a habit of ending episodes on cliff hangers that never end up amounting to much. Agreed with others here about Ginger straddling Pam's coffin. Hilarious!
