Here is the first promo trailer for JJ Abrams latest produced show Alcatraz. Hopefully it ends up more like LOST or Fringe rather than his latest TV show offering Undercovers.
After watching the trailer, it’s obvious there’s a lot of production value but I don’t know if I get a sense of the tone of the show yet. I’ll definitely be watching the first few episodes when it airs on FOX but I’m not totally sold yet on whether they can pull it off.

Looks good. I hope he holds onto this series longer than some of his last ones. They always seem to fall apart when J.J. leaves.
I really hope it's not a bad-guy-of-the-week show because all of those prisoners coming back… looks like a variation of "The 4400" and that's not a good thing.
I am loving it so far. It is giving me an X-files/The Event sort of vibe. Love that Sam Neill is in it.The only down side so far is that it is on FOX.
Haven't they done something like this before. 4400? I was hoping for something more original. But, I am glad to have Mr. Neil in it and happy to see Jorge García.
This show is on FOX midseason schedule for Jan 2012 on Monday's at 9pm…..
