Watch Kristen’s interview with Starz’s Spartacus creator/executive producer Steven DeKnight as he talks about Blood and Sand season 2, the unfortunate circumstances of replacing the Andy Whitfield as lead actor, Gods Of The Arena, and working with Joss Whedon on Buffy and Angel.

dude, tat your head.
Awesome interview. And it's great to hear him speak on the whole Andy situation. can't wait for the new season.
you look great here Kristen.
Awe thank you! I wish I had some cool tats to show off!
am sure we can work on that
Did he mention if the character Gannicus will be on season 2?
Epicly Epic Interview with the most creative man in Hollywood! Way to go Kristen… and I'll reaffirm my jealousy here. Nicely done.
He seemed like a very cool guy.
VERY cool guy and a total geek (in a good way)!
Cool guy though from all the tats and Spartacus I wouldn't figure him for working on Buffy.
loved this interview! Gratitude to meet the mind behind the vision of this brilliant TV series (one of my all time favourites). The script writing, cinematography, great ensemble of quality actors, character development, subplots, power plays, political intrigue and storyline excels at every level and is truly without peer. Congratulations for bringing such high quality TV viewing into my loungeroom – I had more or less given up watching TV until "Spartacus Blood & Sand" came along and blew away every cobweb in my mind about television and ushered in a new era of entertainment. Bravo Steven DeKnight, job well done and thank you Kristen for this close encounter with the extremely creative kind.
cant wait for season 3
Great interview. I am interested to know how much DeKnight will be interacting with/referencing the historical primary sources (Plutarch and Appianos) in Season 2.
Let me ask you this has anyone found out Spartacus Real name ???
there is no historical recored of spartacus real name ,remember he was a slave and as such unimportant in roman culture , gladiators did have names but im not sure how his name came to be known ,remember lots of info based on spartucus or the slave rebellion was written by roman historians .cheers graham
Gratitude…this was a wonderful interview! My husband and I are huge fans of the show and cannot wait for the next season:)
there is going to be a season three right?!
I hope! Right now we're onto season 2, but since Gods was a prequel, it will feel like a 3rd season!
I have two questions:
1: When will “God’s of the Arena” be released on DVD?
2: Is there any news on when they will begin to air B&S season 2?
Gods is available for pre-order: http://www.amazon.com/Spartacus-Gods-Arena-John-H…
Season 2 titled "Spartacus: Vengeance" will air in Jan 2011. They're shooting now!
Curious if you mean Jan 2012?
Ha! Yes I did!
Great interview, Kristen! Steven DeKnight is a genius.
Precisely why we had to interview him!
man… it just doesn't get any better then this show
I just want to say that Spartacus is possibly one of the coolest shows ever but Andy…I don't know if it will be the same without him. To me, he WAS the show. I hope him the best and the show as well. I'm just being selfish and hoping he comes back.
Awesome! Awesome! Interview! I had to say that twice. Thanks to Kristen for delivering more hope and excitement on this one of my favorite series. You guys are becoming the best and nailing this type of interviews. Thanks! I am now a fan of Steven DeKnight. Send him a question if you can. Will Steven being involve on the new Buffy reboot that they thinking on bringing up to the screen?
