Check out me and Kristen’s review of the first part of Starz’s series Camelot premiere episode “Homecoming”. The series will premiere on April 1st with a two hour episode. We were able to watch the first hour which aired after the series finale of Spartacus: Gods Of The Arena. Did you watch the 1 hour preview and what did you think?

I'm going to post now before even watching your review.
Writing: awful. 1 out of 5.
Acting: completely uninspired. 2 out of 5 (as generosity)
Music and Sound: Was that the world of warcraft blacksmithing sound they played while Morgan was watching Igraine leave?
Costumes: Faux Accurate.
Sets: This I felt was actually done well. Seems like the set designer was actually worth a damn.
I probably won't watch again. Spartacus is a jewel for Starz! because they decided on a stylistic approach that set it apart from what else is on TV. This has nothing and offers nothing we haven't seen before and see done better. And I will also once again restate: Joseph Fiennes is the weakest link of every project he is involved in. In this case I also feel that the luscious Eva Green was horribly mis-cast.
Now I'll watch your review and see whats up.
Good review as always.
I can agree with your opinion of King Lot, he actually showed a little depth in the end of this part.
I guess if I could sum it up into one word: Uninspired.
That covers it.
I broke it?
What did you break?

Future commentary on this topic.
Nah, I think not enough people saw it since it wasn't the real premiere. Perhaps when the full 2 hour premiere episode airs in April people will have more to say.

I was really looking forward to this series, since I'm very fascinated by the camelot-saga… but the first episode was a big let-down….
kinda boring, i liked the costumes, the actors are pretty and the scenery was also quite beautiful but the story sucks… and there are far too many sex-scenes for only one episode, don't know if I'm watching a "historical drama" or a softcore porn anymore.. I mean it's totally like tudors, except in tudors the seduction had sense and there it's only f******* and i thought the camelot saga was a bit deeper than that
