Here’s a recently released video from AMC that has the writers, producers and creator Robert Kirkman talking about the 2nd season of The Walking Dead and what to look for next year from the show.
There’s no footage from the 2nd season, as they haven’t even written the scripts yet for it and probably won’t start shooting until sometime next spring. What do you think about the show and the long wait for season 2?

- It started strong.
- I just feel like it got predictable and cliche very quickly. I also feel like maybe the scale of the reality of what the show wants to present is simply too large for the writers and production staff.
- There was simply too much unresolved, knowing they were only going with 6 episodes they should have resolved more than an old folks home where gangbanger wannabe nurses now rule. Black helo? The father and son? etc. . . any bone would have helped it along. It was all the jerking off with the same satisfaction as if your mom walked in just as you were readying the tissues.
- The visual effects also got poorer as the shows went on. . . and the explosions in episode 6 were circa Hercules/Xena quality CGI. . . awesome. . . in 1994.
- The time break between this and getting what could be another 6 episodes (regardless of the producer's "movie quality") is laughable. I'm by no means one who subscribes to instant gratification. . . but waiting another year for what could be another 6 episodes is just silly. No advertising campaign on earth is that good to make me care or remember where the story left off.
I also wasn't a fan of the old folks home episode. Seemed like a waste of time to me. This show is very uneven for me, sometimes I think it's great and other times it feels like a different production company is making it and doesn't know what to do.
If AMC was smart, they would fast track the next season and have it come out by summer before some of the buzz of the show is gone.

Wow. . . just me at the Tweet adverts. . . well . .. Merry Christmas everyone!
I'm guessing the holiday seasons are slower. It's been even hard for me to find good news to post these last few days. Hope you are having a good Christmas as well!
