What did you think of Jesus’ incredible flip flop on V use? One week he is willing to dump Laffy over dealing and the next he is all ‘let’s get high on V!’? Also, if so many people are using and addicted to V, how is it even possible that the healing effects are not generally known? What do you think of Alan Ball’s complete wussification of Weres? They are so easy to kill, no mention silver, or rapid healing.
Hey so sorry for the delayed response – crazy week
I actually think it's sort of interesting to bring the V back in and it is an intense flip flop – but, I feel like sometimes that happens with ppl and drugs…Your totally right on the healing effects!!! Why would they not be known? I am hoping for a better depiction of Were's with a bigger focus on Alcee next season They sure ain't coming up roses right now!
Hey Roth great insight on the super-natural/human element in the show. i agree that it waters down reality in the show and disconnects us.
I'm having a real prob with them dragging out the confrontation between Russell and Eric. i feel like everyone knows it is not going down till the last ep of the season but i feel like the tension really took a step backwards this week when Russell doesnt even share a scene with any of the main characters??
Thanks! So sorry for delayed response. Been a crazy few weeks! What did you make of the ending of this latest episode with Russel and Eric? Did it work for you?
Love it and please double it,up I loved the kissing Sookie-Eric like a High School girl, she looked SO Sookie, Pony tai, Bon Temps t-Shirt and he looked so Eric was awesome, I like crystal a lot she is so fragile and a Black Panther is like a contradiction perfect for Jason. Sweaty Jason looks hotter than ever when he is in trouble… Pam awesome and my friends and I were thinking if the lawyer was actually the Queens lawyer, so here is coming more, poor Sookie in a filthy .dungeon with a collar, lets see where this is going. don't know and thats what i love about TB. I can't believe is only two more Ep. left thank God, Supernatural and Fringe are coming soon, like always i enjloy a great review SHARING it
Thanks! Sorry for delay in response – it has been a crazy couple weeks! The kiss was hot !!! And yeah Jason is great – always wonder why he doesn't have more fans. LOVE Pam always. Thanks again and yes really looking forward to Fringe coming back on the air.
Not my fav epi, but so much going on that it sort of made up for it.
I didn't care for the length of the Jesus/Lafayette V-trip, or where they took Sam, but it does add complexity to his character (rather than simply being the kind-hearted shifter).
While I'm tired of the bratty, arrogant, macho Tommy character, I understand that he does serve a couple of purposes: as a foil for Sam's character, and to add dramatic tension between Jessica and Hoyt (and didn't you love Hoyt's POW to Tommy?!).
While it does make the series harder to relate to, making almost all the characters non-normal human may be Alan Ball's metaphor for how we all have much more power than we own up to / embrace / embody. What do you think, Ross?
Poor Tara – the writers have put her through three lifetimes worth of grief. I don't feel the Tara/Jason relationship, and while i don't care so much for for Crystal character, she seems more a match for Jason and I look forward to seeing how Jason deals with Crystal's were status.
(Spoiler alert!) The previews have given us a lot to contemplate. It seems that Eric will trick Russell into believing that Sookie's blood will let him walk in the daylight, and I'm eager to see what that develops into. Also, I wonder if Eric chaining Bill up means that he will feed Sookie his own blood, which will complicate things significantly.
I'm sad there's only two more episodes…
Thanks again, Ross, for your insightful, appreciative analysis!
Thanks! Sorry for the delayed response – been a crazy week! Yeah go Hoyt! I feel bad for Tommy but MAN is he a brat for sure !

I find it very interesting Roth that your review barely mentions Sookie.
My thought on that, Marc, was that the epi was so much about other characters this week and there's wasn't much Sookie screen time.

This episode felt a lot like filler and was a little boring leading into the finale.
Hey Brian!
What did you think of the latest ep
