Last year there was an epic panel where Peter Jackson and James Cameron were on stage together talking about movies, filmmaking, and all their experiences and thoughts about the process. It was the highlight of my Comic Con experience last year. This year Entertainment Weekly is continuing the trend with their Visionaries panel consisting of JJ Abrams (Star Trek, LOST, Fringe) and Joss Whedon (Buffy, Firefly, Dollhouse).
Here are our thoughts and please let us know yours.

As much as I like Joss' work, I don't hold many high hopes for the Avengers. Here is how I see it going: it will start out slow, and we won't really know where he is going with the story because there will be a bunch of mundane stuffing going on, but we will keep watching because there will be little flashes of brilliance here and there to show us the potential of the movie. Then the middle will find its footing and the story and characters will get going and start rocking and rolling, until a major character comes out of the closet. Then in the end everything will fall apart, main characters will get killed in useless and silly ways and then after a big action sequence follow by a small moment of reflection the movie will just end. Then you will leave the theater not knowing if you liked the movie or not, that is the Joss Whedon Formula to entertainment*.
