What I love about HBO’s True Blood marketing campaign is that they keep coming up with creative ways of promoting the show and making sure you know what the show is about: Vampires and Sex.
Unlike other vampire franchises, this one is unabashed in what the appeal of show is. Even though this is a simple poster it effectively tells you what drives the show, especially to the female viewers.
What do you think of the promo pic and the True Blood marketing campaign in general?

Cannot wait for the preview for the upcoming season.
I love their marketing campaigns. I've loved them from the start, all the way back in early 2008 when they first sent out little samples of "Tru Blood Synthetic Blood" accompanied by a letter written in weird symbols to various authors who had published paranormal or vampire-themed books (you can see some photos of the items posted here by an author who received them and at first had no idea who they were from or what they were for: http://www.lilithsaintcrow.com/journal/2008/06/we…
I love how they designed posters for the Tru Blood drink and made them look like the kind of advertisements you'd see for Rock Star or Monster energy drinks and then stuck them in 7-11 and Circle K stores all over the place. The new line of ads for season 3 is great too. The poster with the blender is very striking, especially with the contrast of the deep red against all that white, and the "cup of Joe" tagline is clever. They've just had such clever and creative ideas over and over again.
