Watch me and Roth’s review of the latest LOST episode “Lighthouse” and let us know what you think about the episode. We discuss the Jack-centric flash sideways storyline (Who’s his wife?), original timeline (Who’s coming to the Island?), and Claire’s new role as the new Rousseau.

Let's not get crazy about Jack being a really good father Roth. He didn't even know his kid still played the piano!!
First of all, the son was keeping that a secret from him because he was afraid of failing in front of him. We constantly saw Jack trying to engage his son and being pushed away by him because of this fear. Perhaps Jack has been a poor father in the past in this reality, and maybe his vague memories of the island in this reality have changed him into someone better, but from what we saw within the episode itself, he was an excellent father. The most important thing a child can ever know is that they're accepted unconditionally by their parents, and the way that Jack communicated that to his son in this episode was wonderful.
I think its hard to see if Jack was a good parent or not, because of what we've been shown so far, he hasn't really done anything bad to his son. However perhaps there's something he did before that we would consider bad parenting. Maybe they will eloborate more on his alternate timeline and we will see. So far it seems like he's trying his best.

So i figured the Baby's momma was the Spinal Injury girl Sarah, but then i read on Wiki that he met her in 2001. So i have no idea who it is. I'm actually leaning towards it being a nobody.
I hate how vague Jakob is. I love how Hurely told him to be straight with him on stuff, cause i would have told him that long ago. I would have pulled a "Tell me everything with no vagueness or i aint helping you. I have no reason to trust someone who won't tell me everything, so until i hear it… eat a dick, i aint doing shit!" But that may just be part of my personality and how pissed a get when they are acting vague.
I know it's not going to be, but i really want the person coming to the island to me MR echo. It won't be, but a man can dream. It would be cool if it's Desmond, but it won't be.
What i don't understand is why Jin back tracked on the Kate thing. I would have been like, "Yeah she has your baby. You cam out of the woods and gave him to her right before we left. And you told her to never bring him back to the island." And then once i saw the smoke monster guy i would have pulled a "Well there is your answer. He can shape shift. He obviously took Aaron and gave him to Kate, while pretending to be you." Maybe it's a language barrier thing.
Great review as always.
Another good review guys, you mirrored my thoughts exactly when I saw the episode. You pretty much had an idea that somehow the two timelines are convergent somehow right from the 1st episode (why was Jack bleeding on the plane before it landed and such?) As for Jack's unknown wife or ex wife, Juliet was the first one that popped into my head.
Jack, Kate and Locke all headstrong and STUBBORN personalities, which can be good and…well, bad. As always, can't wait for next week's episode and your review.
Thanks Andrew, I'm very interested in seeing how they decide to converge the two timelines and what the consequences will be.

It could be Desmond, and I hope it is Desmond, cuz Desmond IS the FRIEKN KEY! I also hope its WALT! I mean, what was the point of having him for 1 season if he's so friken important? they gotta bring Walt back.
@Nate, do you see yourself a better father than Jack when Toddlerpool reaches David's age?
*SPOILERS*DO NOT READ UNLESS U WANT 2 BE SPOILED*
Desmond's supposed to return in the Episode "Happily Ever After," which is 5 episodes from next weeks. and 2 episodes from that, he is supposed to venture to the frozen wheel…and atleast 4 main characters are gonna die. (i think they venture to the beginning, and DO get killed, and put in the cave. I think Hurley's right.)
and i'm really hyped for "Ab Aeterno," the Richard episode, and "Across The Sea," which will be the Jacob and MIB episode on how they exsist. hopefully we get MIB's name. Hope we can get some frieken answers soon! my brain's starting 2 hurt!!!
I totally thought Desmond was coming back in the latest episode "Sundown". I saw his name in the credits and thought he was going to be the person that Jacob keeps talking about coming to the island.

Loved this review. I totally didn’t pick up on a lot of the stuff you guys mentioned. In fact if I list them all off I’d probably look foolish. I love that you point out all the parallels between the time lines. All in all, thank god I watch these video reviews or I’d be missing out on A LOT!
I'm sure there's plenty of stuff we miss as well, LOST is so packed with mysteries and inside references that its so hard to see it all. Thanks for watching!
