Here is the first full trailer for the A Nightmare On Elm Street remake starring Jackie Earle Haley, Thomas Dekker, and others. This genre isn’t really up my alley but the trailer does make me interested in seeing this movie despite my aversion to straight up horror movies. What do you guys think?

Maybe it's just me, but I don't get most horror movies. The first Saw and Seven are exceptions though. I think that mainly comes from having a good story though. This looks just as cheesy as the 80's versions were.
0.0 interest.
Yeah I'm not really into horror movies either, I like more of the creepy psychological like The Ring and Session 9 however for some reason I'm intrigued by this movie.

Me too. I think just the idea of nightmares being real is a terrifying thing to me. The original was solid but a little cheesy in parts. If done right, this could be better than the original… or at least more terrifying.
I don't like horror movies, but only because I'm a huuuuge chicken. xD
I'm gonna see it but I'm not totally excited I found the original was amazing and this one looks fun but someone sent me the script (I think its really but I could be wrong) and its annoying me. Every instance in someone falls asleep EVEN AT A FUNERAL! I'm sorry but if they've dreamed of freddy before and think he can harm them at that time they would be trying NOT to sleep. And the original had them sleeping at weird times too BUT it made sense since it showed them trying to stay awake implying how tired they were. But maybe the movie will change that Hopefully. I think the best thing they got going for them is the MUCH creepier freddy.
I liked the original. Its cheesy and all, but that's why I like it. And that why I think I will enjoy this. The cheesiness. Plus am I the only on who thinks Freddie sounds like Rorschach? =]
I really hope this movie takes advantage of its premise and has some truly frightening dream sequences, but I know I'll probably be disappointed.
