This is probably my favorite episode of the season after “Momentum Deferred”. Certainly, my favorite since they returned from the mid season break. The Fringe team has proven again that there is no premise so cheesy that they can’t redeem it with amazing performances. One of the reasons I didn’t watch Fringe originally until you recommended it was the whole premise was just too ridiculous but it is so well done that I just love it. I loved just about everything in this episode including the reminder of how much Peter resented Walter, the questions raised (but not explicitly voiced or answered) about how and when it is OK to kill bad guys, and that the underlying science for once was actually plausible. I think the reason for the use of a literal Nazi (an immortal Nazi!) is that the premise would otherwise be too real and scary if the bad guy were a neo-Nazi or other realistic guy.
Yeah that makes sense. And they also hired an actor that had total "Nazi Face" as Dennis say's so that we wont feel too bad about what Walter did – bit still recognize that there is a side to him that is ruthless and very dangerous. I am exiting for the one coming up tonight. I think alot about each of these characters and their pasts will be revealed!
I loved “Nazi Face” guy too. I spotted him as a Nazi in his first scene. And if I were sitting next to him in a coffee shop, I so wouldn’t be talking about how good the tea smelled. I’d be telling my daughter to get away from the Nazi!
Can’t wait to see what you guys thought of “Jacksonville”. Also, next episode isn’t until April 1rst?!! Is the network trying to kill the show?
