When I first started talking about directors, someone told me they might want to take a shot at it, and I tooootally saw it. I didn't know it was confirmed though. The Wolverine movie was a disappointment, but, he was wicked. He was funny, but it just drove me crazy how he wasn't full on Deadpool. Like, Wade's funny, but he didn't get crazy until after he became Deadpool. He's not even a mutant, he was just an assassin. The movie changed him sooo much. To a point where he just had a bit of Deadpool's really campish, imature humor (which is awesome, not an insult), and the name. But that was it, they 100% changed his origin, how he knew everyone, ect. From the interviews I read with writers though they said they were going to try and reboot, or bring some of his original origins into the movie. Maybe replace his cancer with the weird 'Pool of Powers' thing. Anyway. I could go on about him for hooours. But Zomebieland had a good feel, a very Deadpoolish feel. So my hope in the Deadpool movie and possibly franchise has been restored. He really does deserve some kind of movie for what they did to him in Wolverine.
