LOST Copies BSG w/ “The Last Supper” Promo Image (PICS)

I guess Da Vinci’s “The Last Supper” painting is popular when promoting television shows.  After seeing the Battlestar Galactica cast re-enact the painting in one of their promo image for the final season of BSG, I didn’t think I’d see it be used again for awhile. I guess the producers/marketing team behind LOST either didn’t care or hopes people have a short memory because here are a couple promo shots of the LOST cast doing the same thing for their final season.

Look, I know it’s possible that Damon Lindelof and company may have planned this for awhile before ever seeing the BSG ones last year but sometimes you have to adapt and change things up when someone else does something similar or the same thing as you had planned. Also quite frankly, the BSG one looks better.

(UPDATE – So apparently everyone and their mom has done this as well, I’ve included below the BSG, Sopranos, House, and Star Wars “The Last Supper”)

What do you think?

This seems more like ABC than Lindelof and Cuse. I know they ask for certain stuff to be kept out of teasers and such, but they've never really had much say in the way ABC advertises the show. Hence the horrible music videos, those stupid LOST puppet recaps they blatantly stole, and promos that are inferior to ones made by fans on the internet.

Considering the religious connotations behind BsG, it's not surprising that it looks the best. What IS surprising is that Caprica Six is in the middle, rather than Baltar (since he's apparently Jesus), although at the same time it also makes a lot of sense, since she's responsible for everything, and he just kind of picks up and fixes things for himself.

I've never seen Lost, so I can't comment on that, but I have to say, the one for House looks really forced.
