Comic artist turned director Frank Miller is preparing Xerxes, which begins about 10 years before the events of 300. Zack Snyder has expressed interest in it as a film property. “It’s the battle of Marathon through my lens,” Miller said. “I’ve finished the plot and I’m getting started on the artwork.” Xerxes was played by Rodrigo Santoro (Lost) in 300, but it’s probably way too early to speculate on whether he’ll return.

I’m not sure I really want Miller writing another movie after the horrible experience that was The Spirit. I was also probably the only male on Earth that was bored to tears watching 300. I thought that it was a gorgeous experiment, but I can only take so much slow motion. What do you think?
