Breck Eisner (Sahara) is set to remake David Cronenberg’s film The Brood, about a woman who telepathically communicates with her group of mutant children, not so much instructing them to act out violently as they act on her emotional impulses. Eisner was originally set to remake Universal’s Creature From The Black Lagoon.

I’m not exactly sure why he left the project, but he’s currently finishing up another remake in The Crazies. The trailer looks intense and interesting, but who knows how it’ll turn out. I’m actually hoping for it to be awesome, because seriously if they’re going to keep doing remakes shouldn’t they be better than or at least be able to stand alongside their predecessor. Otherwise, what’s the point of wasting millions of dollars?

Also, I just mentioned three remakes in one post. There’s something wrong with that, right?
