Here is the very first Robin Hood trailer directed by Ridley Scott (Alien, Blade Runner, Gladiator) and starring Russell Crowe and Cate Blanchett.  So why another Robin Hood movie? I can’t really answer that, but if you watch the trailer you can decide for yourself if it is worth watching. Let me know what you think.

If it's gonna be Robin Hood, I'd rather see a real Robin Hood. Not Maximus on a horse. One shot of a bow and arrow doth not a Hood make.

As someone who liked Gladiator but thought it was overrated, I'm not sure how this movie will turn out. Both of Ridley Scott's movies Body of Lies and American Gangster I was really looking forward to, but both ended up being disappointing.

While I have to somewhat disagree with Dennis (never saw Body of Lies, but I thought American Gangster was awesome), this trailer kind of disappointed me. Nothing in the trailer even remotely referenced the Robin Hood mythos as we know it. We got a ten second clip of RC shooting an arrow. I'm with Fuelbot on that one.

If you wanna impress me with Robin Hood, then really cling to the bow and arrow aspect, and find new ways to use it, kinda like Legolas in The Two Towers. I think a brawling fight with a bow an arrow would pose a unique and satisfying challenge to a fight/action choreographer.

But, I digress. I probably will not see this movie on the big screen, unless I see some really good stuff in the next couple trailers. :/

The only thing that is making me want to see this movie is Matthew Macfadyen as the Sheriff. He is like a young Rickman and a great actor. Other than that, the trailer sucks and I would be totally okay as to not see another Russell Crowe film. I am going to say that this will be a DVD watch for me.
