Here’s the Sorcerer’s Apprentice Teaser Trailer starring Nicolas Cage, Monica Belluci, and Jay Baruchel based on the Mickey Mouse segment from the Disney animated classic Fantasia

Not sure why they decided to go this route with Cage looking either like a homeless man or a WWE wrestler, as it seems more grown up than than the classic Disney version but not dark enough for an older audience.  I have a feeling this movie is going to miss any type of demographic as it seems kind of unsure of what it wants to be.  Guess we’ll have to wait and see, and perhaps future trailers will be more interesting.

Based on that teaser trailer, I know I'M not sure what the movie is trying to be, or who it's trying to appeal to. Usually there's some manner of "wow" factor when viewing a teaser, but that didn't happen for me here.

I was totally expecting to see the broom from Fantasia. The effects look good, but there's ntothing past that. I don't really like Jay Baruchel, at least not in a starring role. The less we say about Nicolas Cage's film choices this decade, the better.

Definitely no wow factor here. They didn't even show Monica Bellucci in the trailer.

Showing Monica Bellucci was the LEAST they could have done.

And yet he's broke. You figure if plan on doing shitty movies after getting an Oscar you would be rich and do it for the $$$.

Who's Monica Bellucci. I looked her up in Google but her face didn't ring any bells. I guess I have been trying to stay away from this movies advertising though. I'm trying to go into it as fresh as possible.

Ooops, that comment was for the Avatar trailer that I watched after the Sorcerers Apprentice. XD

  8. ThinkHero Says:

Which comment? Monica Belluci? She's in Sorcerer's Apprentice. She's a famous Italian actress that recently came over to do American movies. She also has very nice… um assets.

Everything that could be good about this movie was ruined the first second the Nick Cage spoke his first line. I really can not stand that guy.
