‘Zombieland 2′ In 3D Confirmed

Variety reports that Sony is inking deals for a sequel to Zombieland, in 3D. I actually enjoyed the first film more tan I thought it would (though I wanted to the lead character to die in every scene). But Woody Harrelson’s Tallahassee was pretty incredible and for that alone I’d go see this. “Everyone had fun watching (the first) ‘Zombieland’; making it a more visceral experience can only make it better,” said the film’s producer Gavin Polone. “I don’t think you want to see ‘Ordinary People’ in 3-D. But ‘Zombieland’ is clearly one movie that will benefit from (the technique).” Woody Harrelson and Jesse Eisenberg are in talks to reprise their roles. Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick are already working on the sequel’s screenplay.

There are a lot of movies I don't think would do good by being in 3-D. But I think Zombieland would be fine with it. Watching the first one alone just the way it looked it looked sort of like a 2-D version of a 3-D movie. Its easy to tell if you've seen My Bloody Valentine and FD4 which sucked! But MBV was good.

I think the nature of Zombieland would be good for 3D. The first film had a pretty visceral, if outlandish, quality about it. I think it'd be a bit smarter than the average 3D fare, i.e. FD4.

I sure hope so because it really could be good but that would suck if they ended up lowering the quality of the movie just because they had to put it in 3-D. But I also heard FD4 was going to be straight to dvd but then they had the thought of putting it in 3-D. I'm definitely not surprised even the deaths weren't that good and if thats the only reason people are seeing it then it REALLY is pretty bad.
