Here are the first two shots from DC/Vertigo’s upcoming adaptation of The Losers, a comic series created by Andy Diggle. In the comics, the Losers were a Special Forces team, second only to the Central Intelligence Agency betrayed by their handler and left for dead following the conclusion of their operation. Eager for revenge and the opportunity to remove their names from a secret CIA death list, the Losers regroup and conduct covert operations against the CIA and its interests, uncovering startling operations spearheaded by the enigmatic Max, whose influence within the CIA and U.S. government is unparalleled.

The film, directed by Sylvain White (Stomp The Yard), stars Jeffery Dean Morgan, Chris Evans, Zoe Saldana, Columbus Short, and  Oscar Jaenada star as the titular Losers. Interestingly enough, the film was written by Peter Berg and James Vanderbilt who worked together on The Rundown. Vanderbilt also wrote Zodiac and an early draft of Spiderman 4.
