Come on, seriously? Not photo-real? SERIOUSLY?! YOU CAN SEE HIS PORES FOR GODSAKES! At this point, we’re on Avatar overload, but apparently 30 minutes of the film aren’t even finished. Producer Jon Landau said that around 30 minutes of the movie remain incomplete, with issues ranging from sound mixing to more serious aspects like visual effects. The total running time is likely to fall between 2½ hours and two hours 40 minutes, not including credits.

“It’s in the hectic last days of postproduction typical of any film of this size, but it’s on schedule and preparing for its world-wide release,” said Fox Filmed Entertainment Chairman Jim Gianopulos. The last minute rushes are driving up costs on the movie, with the final budget to be estimated at about $300 million. James Cameron and a business partner covered some of those costs, personally. I’m pretty excited about everything I’ve seen so far. Even if it doesn’t win the photo-real battle, Cameron has definitely brought it miles of steps closer and raised the bar for everyone.
