Apparently so. UGO has learned exclusively that Julia Stiles was at a casting agency in New York, possibly testing for Sam Raimi’s upcoming Spiderman 4. British actress Romola Garai (Amazing Grace, The Other Man) also previously auditioned for “a female lead.” Garai, McAdams, and Stiles all fall into roughly the same 30 year-old range, roughly the same height with reasonably the same look so I don’t think it’s all out of the realm of possibility.
/Film have a report in which a source reports that Black Cat/Felicia Hardy is indeed in the latest draft of the screenplay, and that her father becomes the new boss at the Daily Bugle. They imply that his death provides the catalyst for Hardy becoming Black Cat. As always, take this as a rumor but I think it’d be pretty awesome to see either McAdams or Stiles in this role. I don’t really know anything about Garai to make a fair assessment of her acting talent. Whoever they pick, hopefully she has more of a role than the absolute waste that was Gwen Stacey (Bryce Dallas Howard) What do you think?

Personally I'd rather see Rachel McAdams than Julia Stiles. Though either one would bring something better to the franchise than Kristin Dunst.

Rachel McAdams recently said that the Spider-Man 4 rumor isn't true, but no word from Anne Hathaway and Julia Stiles.
First pick would be Rachel McAdams, but if it's between Julia Stiles and Anne Hathaway, I go with Stiles all the way.
