Watch me and Roth’s thoughts on the overly ambitious Battlestar Galactica: The Plan, the retelling of the BSG story from the Cylon perspective. Unfortunately the 2 hour Direct to DVD movie is way too much information for its running time and ends up being very messy and unfocused. Let us know what you thought.

Great review as always guys. I have to say I was pretty excited about "The Plan" (probably because I just needed something to tide me over until Caprica starts) and my reaction after seeing it was a mixed bag. My immediate thoughts after watching it was that I really liked it but the more I thought about it the less I did.
I question why they decided to tell the story that they did. Did it really tell us anything that we didn't already know? The few new explanations that they did give more very midichlorian in nature. Did anyone really want to know how/why Boomer worked as a sleeper agent? Also I really didn't like how they explained how the Six that accuses Baltar of treason just "vanished." I think it was much more interesting when we didn't know if the Six was the same Six that was in Baltar's head and if she did just simply vanish.
This movie fell into the same trap as "Razor." They showed a black and white picture of events that were gray in the series.
All that being said I did like the exploration of the Simon cylon and thought the movie as a whole was very well acted. I sincerely hope that if they make any additional movies that they actually tell a story that reveals new information or a different point of view that both "Razor" and "The Plan" really fail to do.
