Chris Weitz Directing ‘Breaking Dawn’?

Summit Entertainment must love what director Chris Weitz has done with the upcoming New Moon, since he’s the current favorite to direct the final installment of the Twilight Saga. Speaking with THR, he says he’s heard about the rumors but that no official order has been made.

‘’The fans have been enthusiastic about the footage and the trailer, and the studio responds to that by feeling good about me. We’ll have to see how people feel about the entire movie, not only the studio but the fans, before the verdict is out whether I direct Number 4. David Slade is doing a great job on the third film (“Eclipse”), and by the time that comes out, he’ll be the flavor of the moment.’’

    I'm interested in seeing if New Moon is going to deliver on action as the trailers seem to make it out to be, and if Weitz can pull off a movie that can be entertaining to both the men and women at the same time.

    Entertaining to both men and women you say? I plan on bringing a boy to new moon and inviting him to review to bring the male perspective.

    BTW – How awkward does that threesome look :) ? Poor Taylor – he really looks like odd man out.
