Here’s the first poster for Peter Jackson’s upcoming movie The Lovely Bones based on the novel by Alice Sebold. I like it, its simple and nice to look at. I’m tired of a lot movie posters who’s only job is to stick the famous actor and actressess big face on it. Don’t get me wrong, I know that for marketing purposes you need to show your stars in order to sell your movie. But some posters are so lazy and don’t do anything creative and do the “put famous person face really big” on the poster.

No idea on the book or the overall story, but I agree about the marketing and poster deal.
I also tend to enjoy more artistic posters and this one is no exception; the imagery is very nice.
