Watch Roth and Beckett’s review of the highly debated movie Jennifer’s Body. Most people did not like this movie, as evidenced by the disappointing box office this past weekend, however the ThinkHero crew has a different opinion.

Hearing you say, "Satan is our only chance," I suddenly heard an alternate take on "Help me, Obi-Wan Kenobi, you're my only hope."

You totally nailed it with your review! In general, I’m not a horror fan, especially slasher movies. Based on the trailers, I assumed that this was just another lame teen slasher movie and did not plan to go. Then I read a review that made it clear it was not. The description was enough to intrigue me and I went to see it. With very low expectations I was pleasantly surprised. It was funny, fresh, and entertaining. Amanda Seyfried was fantastic. One of the few flaws in the movie was the fact that Jennifer was exactly the same before and after her demon possession except for her special diet. I especially loved the scene where Needy rips the BFF necklace from Jennifer. It was poignant because when Jennifer completely gave up you realized that she really did love Needy after all and she was still herself under the demon possession. I disagree with your assessment that she was already dead – I think like being turned into a vampire, her possession changed her but she was still in there.

Otherwise why didn’t she kill Needy the first night? Why did she confess everything to her unless she was still at least somewhat herself? I also loved that of course Needy got caught killing Jennifer and was sent an insane asylum. The ending? Well that was really satisfying wasn’t it?

Hi Elizabeth! Great to hear from you!!! Yes I think she was still in there – but her soul had been taken over and so essentially she had been murdered – in the sense that she no longer could exist as she had before – without killing. But yes we loved that moment too-when the necklace was pulled off – very sad. And the moment where Needy watches Jennifer get into the van. I agree the only addition was the "diet" haha
I think its a fun movie and will become a cult favorite. I think people are just on a hate bent right now with Diablo Cody unfortunately :/ Thanks so much for commenting! Hope you are great!

Hi Elizabeth, great input! I think that Jennifer was dead in the sense that she could never exist again the way she had before the demon. To banish the demon, Needy had to kill them both, there was no way Jennifer, the way she had been, would ever be recoverable. She died that night in the woods. But you're right, the demon didn't change anything about her personality, except when she was cranky when hungry, and verrrry creepy right after eating…
Thanks again, and I'm glad you enjoyed the movie (and us)!
