Roger Avary, Oscar-winning co-writer of Pulp Fiction, plead guilty to vehicular manslaughter after drunkenly hitting a telephone pole that hurt his wife and killed a man visiting from Italy. Now that happened January 13, 2008. Avary entered his plea on Tuesday in Ventura. What concerns me is the space between then and now. Avary also wrote and directed the film Killing Zoe, and the best adaptation of any of Bret Easton Ellis’ novels, Rules Of Attraction. He’s free on bail and set to be sentenced next month.
