Thanks to SlashFilm, here is the first official Avatar photo. It shows off Sam Worthington in front of a tank, which has one of the “avatar” Na’vi in it. It looks like a shot from one of the clips they showed at Comic Con this year. This part of the movie is when everything still looks like it’s set in the real world, and later on everything becomes more CG looking to the point of almost watching a 3D animated movie. While the CG looks great in the movie, it’s not realistic looking like District 9 or even Transformers 2.
