Check out the The Guild Comic Con 2009 panel, which I heard was packed and people got turned away.  This is a fantastic web series with a loyal following including myself.  Unfortunately the special “musical” video “Date My Avatar” co-written by Felicia Day and Jed Whedon is not on this clip, but I think they are releasing it in the upcoming weeks. 

I think it was very cool of them to dress up as their “characters” in full costume and weapons.  I can imagine it not being the most comfortable thing in the world sitting for an hour in those outfits.  Also the announcement that Wil Wheaton is going to be in season 3 of The Guild makes me even more excited for the upcoming season.

The success of The Guild, is a watershed moment for online video and the future of web series.  Even though Dr. Horrible was a huge success, it really falls in between the TV and web world, considering the budget and actors involved.  This on the other hand was created by Felicia Day,  an actress previously best known as Vi on the final season of Buffy, and stars a cast of previously unknown actors with a minimal budget.
