It looks like the movie bigwigs finally made a decision, and it seems like pissing off Marvel was part of their agenda, because it looks like Ryan Reynolds has come out on top from the other two candidates (Bradley Cooper, Justin Timberlake), to become DC’s The Green Lantern.
Ryan Reynolds who played Deadpool in the Wolverine movie, was going to reprise his role in a spinoff movie featuring the Marvel character. Now that he has been cast in the even bigger and more high profile role of The Green Lantern, it looks like the Deadpool movie is dead or will have to go on without Reynolds.
I can’t believe this is the same kid I watched on the Nickelodeon teenage soap opera 15 when I was a kid. Now he’s in leading roles in big budget movies.

This is definitely a better pick than that Timberlake character. I can't believe that other guy made it so far into the casting process. I also had no idea Reynolds was even up for this until last night. Good choice I guess…
