Hi sorry for delay! The books are fun summer reads! Not Tolstoy haha - but fun. There are aspects of the books that I enjoy and aspects of the show I enjoy. They change the show enough that I am not sure what is coming. BUT I liked last season when they followed the basic plotlines of the books - the characters they added that were not in the original book series were just right.

I like the music idea!

Since you've read the books, how is the show compared to them? It must be fun knowing what's going to happen but it also must not be that fun since you're kinda missing out on the fun of all the suspense. Oh and I know what you're talking about when Sookie is suffering from the scratches. Since I had no idea what was going to happen to her, I was caught up with all the suspense.

Also, from what you say about Jason and Sarah, it sounds like what everyone is thinking about their little relationship, it's going to happen sooner or later. Oh and the pudding references were gold. I was thinking that everyone watching was thinking the pudding line works on more than one level.

As for the music, I was thinking something from the episode being reviewed although an original fun freaky sound FX would be great. The song that plays during the end credits would work well since they always pick good songs to end the show. I was happy with the way they added in Sex & Candy in the last episode, kinda reminded me of the late 90s in a way. Or if anything, the song from the opening would work well instrumentally played in the background of the review. Oh and a short clip from the show would work well with the review.

completely agree that this was the best one and bodes very well for the season ahead!

As for what attacked Sookie - well I have some theories on that - BUT I've read the books so don't want to spoil anything for anyone who hasn't. As far as the attack goes, I loved the depiction - the casting of Dr. Ludwig and the FX - I mean it was NASTY but I believed it - it really felt like she could be dying.

I actually love Jason and the Fellowship - it's gonna be fun to watch him struggle with this conundrum - especially once Sarah starts sharing her "pudding" with him as yes she is sure to do - I agree :D.

As to Jessica - I thought she glamored him too - I still kinda think (hope) she might have - even inadvertently ,

Music - Good Idea! hmmm - maybe we could put in some fun freaky sound FX...D ;)?

This latest episode was the best one of the season so far. I know that's not saying much since the season just started but I really don't have any complaints about anything.

I really like the way they are taking Jessica's character, how she is resisting some of those impulsive thoughts and is just trying to go back to the way she was before she was turned. I actually thought for a second she actually glamored Hoyt into going back with her so she could feed on him. I guess I was wrong and it's nice to see her settling down and not being a pain to both Bill and Sookie.

As for the thing that attacked Sookie, I really don't have an idea as to say who it could be other than Maryann. It could be her because the whole show is dedicated to her mysteriousness and the fact that she is kind of the villain of this season. But, they could just be doing that in order to throw us a "Twist" later on in the season. Either way, it's going good so far.

Also, when Jason decided he wanted to leave The Fellowship of the Sun, I was actually happy hoping he would come back and actually start to embrace the Vampire ways. I guess the way they pulled him back in with Sarah was cool because I think somethings might happen between the two. I mean there's something there and given the nature of this show, AKA nudity galore, I think that they will eventually give in to their needs.

Lastly, this season had a few downers right at the beginning and had me wondering what direction they were going to go. The first two episodes weren't exactly what I was hoping for. The third however, was a great one, one that will set the tone for the rest of the season. There are quite a few questions that need answers but all in good time they will be revealed. Now to sit back and enjoy the good season we've got.

Oh and nice review, I am really digging these weekly reviews of True Blood. Just a suggestion here, can we get a little bit of background music to go along with Roth's video review? Or if anything, a clip from the episode?
