True Blood’s Season 2 Premiere on Sunday was the highest rated HBO show in two years and highest since the Soprano‘s series finale. True Blood Season 2 Premiere pulled 3.7 million on it’s initial showing and another 1.4 million on the encore showing which puts it at 5.1 million which makes it the highest viewed HBO series since The Sopranos and Sex In The City.
While the premiere has recieved mixed reviews here at ThinkHero, it is good news to see a quality show getting good ratings which will keep the show on the air.

I thought the second season first episode was pretty good. I didn't find one thing wrong with it. If anything, it was great because of the surprise that no one knew about. Of course I'm talking about Lafayette. This is awesome though that the show is guaranteed to be around for a very long while with these ratings.
I liked the season 2 premiere of TB, but I did have a problem with it. The whole relationship between Sookie and Bill was too overly dramatic. The dialogue at the end where Bill tells her she's a miracle, and then Sookie replies "God Damn You Bill Compton!" then they kiss, I was laughing out loud. It was way too over the top and cheesy for me.
I hope they stay away from that kind of "soap opera" dialogue and acting in the future.

Well the show is kind of a love story. I know what you're talking about though. I think that they have to show them trying to get along and love each other before all the action starts.
I'm soooo glad Lafayette is alive! He is one one my fav characters. I too loved the premiere – I'm hooked
