Check out this trailer for the first season of JJ Abrams Fringe coming out on DVD/Blu-Ray in September. I’m suprised they released the trailer so early, and didn’t wait until closer to its release. What did you think of the trailer? Have you seen the show?

Does anyone watch this show? I started to back when it first premiered but have only watched a few episodes. If it's really that good, I will take the time to watch the rest of the episodes.
I just finished watching Season 1 on my DVR the other week. It was much slower in the begining but towards mid-season it starts to pick up and gets better.
Its a good show, but not a great show like BSG, Lost, or Terminator Sarah Connor Chronicles.

Oh man I guess in a year or so TV watching for you is going to suck. Every show you mentioned is either done, canceled, or in their last season.
As for Fringe, yeah I've heard it is slow in the beginning but starts to get better later on. I thought it was an ok show but obviously lost interest because of the pace. It just seemed like a show that didn't have anything but a new problem every week . By problem I mean a story that comes out of nowhere and they have a dilemma for half the show and eventually solve the problem before the episode ends. I think eventually I will give it another show though.
Yeah that's the problem with Fringe, every show seems self contained, later it becomes an over-arcing storyline but still suffers from similar thing.
I person would not want the "Monster of the Week", those were usually the worst episodes of Buffy and Smallville when they went to that formula.
As for TV sucking in a year, yes it might but I will at least have True Blood, and hopefully one of the these new sci fi shows are good like V, FlashForward, Day One, Caprica, or others.

Yeah I didn't want to use the phrase, Monster of the Week, but that's really what it was at the beginning. That's probably why I lost interest. I will pick up the show eventually and get through season 1 in time for season 2.
Oh yes True Blood, now that's a great show. I think that they are probably trying to get two seasons out of a year, or that's what I'm hoping their doing. I mean why the year long wait for another season like all premium channels do? Since there are 9 books that this show is based on, they should try to speed things along because I don't know if I can hang around for a decade to see how it all ends.
Getting way off topic but oh well. TV always has a way of going through stages of being lame for awhile and then the networks usually find their shows that can last a lifetime. I think we're in that final stride of great shows for awhile and then it's the long drought of endless pilot episodes and then news of cancellations of shows, it's an endless cycle.
