According to THR, FOX has decided to pick up Dollhouse for a second season of 13 episodes. Through much speculation and rumors Joss Whedon’s newest show was thought to be dead by most, especially since the ratings were going even lower after Terminator: Sarah Connor Chronicles ended its season and no longer was the lead in show. However due to strong DVR and online viewership, FOX has decided to give it another chance with the caveat that future Dollhouse episodes are done on a lesser budget. Also it most likely stay at the sci-fi graveyard timeslot known as Friday nights. The official announcement for Dollhouse and other FOX shows will be on Monday.
I think this is great news, but I do feel disappointed, as it most likely means Sarah Connor Chronicles will not be picked up for a third season. There has been no such leak of good news for that show, which in my mind and a lot of people who have actually watched both shows, is a superior show to Dollhouse. I love Joss Whedon’s work, and as Dollhouse will continue, perhaps it will achieve the level of quality I expect from Whedon, but right now it’s my least favorite of this creations (haven’t seen Angel yet).
Let me know what you think about the Dollhouse renewal.

Looking forward to seeing it next year. I love this show! Also, its kinda unique which is rare.
FYI – I'm surprised it made it, you know the execs don't get it.
From what they are saying, it's business decision. FOX feels that if they can lower the budget, and is able to sell DVDs than ultimately they will be able to make money.
Unfortunately they don't care about quality, otherwise they wouldn't have cancelled Firefly, and probably going to axe Sarah Connor Chronicles.

Exactly…. ironically the execs don't understand how they could make more money by keeping the show the same but giving something worth spending money on. I'm not going to buy a LOST or DOLLHOUSE or FRINGE or TSCC coffee mug (shows I watch) . But there is a lot of stuff I will pay money for if its worth my time.
I watch Fringe and lost and dollhouse that have absolutely crappy logos. Its like its a joke…. lets spell the name in "text". what???
Also, seriously – its SCI FI – how bout some SCI FI commercials during the shows.
I think the future of advertising is going to be product placement, since DVR's let people skip commercials. I liked how they integrated Dodge products into Sarah Connor Chronicles, without being totally obvious. They used the trucks, because for what they do, it made sense.

Product placement is old school. I think they need to think bigger and better than that. Walk on role giveaways… Re-decorate your bedroom like the dollhouse sleeping chamber give away… Be a "Doll" spa giveway…
Books that follow the series in ways that are not cost effective to film… Pre-order DVD package at reduced rate during season two episode one and two only (14 day limited time offer). Have the star wear an awesome custom t-shirt (never before seen) and sell it via the web as a limited item.
After the credits have the stars one by one do a thirty second spot thanking the fans… "Hey I'm …. thanks you fans rock…."
Create a twitter community… create a behind the scenes webisode series… Add a five minute clip to each episode when you publish it online (i.e. hulu)….
Sell the cool stuff from the show… eBay auction off the chair every season…. Add special never seen before trailers to new movies coming out for the commercial breaks…
basically create a value for a product that has no substance.
What do you think???
Sounds like good ideas to me! I wish ThinkHero was big enough to do all those things ourselves!

100% of the shots you don’t take don’t go in.
Our teenage daughter is thirteen heading on thirty. She is mad now that we censor everything she watches. There is incredibly little on Tv today that we find appropriate for any teenager. A few months ago, we discovered that you simply can Watch Missed Episodes. along with several other exhibits. This is great as we can watch a indicate and determine whether or not it truly is suitable for a child of her age. She is incredibly mature for the thirteen year old, but there are items we even now do not believe she needs to know about. It is a fine line we continuously walk, but it is part of our job as parents.
Our renters moved out a few months ago and left us with a mess to clean up. Not only have been there holes within the wall, they also destroyed doors, window frames and carpets. They had been very smart and covered up the harm with pictures, posters and curtains so we didn’t realize the extent on the harm until they have been gone. Now we are fixing up the house so we can rent it again. Thankfully, this career is significantly easier as we have a laptop with wireless capabilities. We are capable to Watch Missed Episodes. also as other exhibits so we’re entertained while toiling away. It’s excellent that the Online offers issues of this nature.
For the past three months, I’ve been waiting for the DVD edition from the Frasier series. I am still fourth in line at my local library to receive these so I was quite excited to learn that I can Watch Missed Episodes.. My plan was to watch the DVDs around the train while commuting to and from perform so I’m hoping I’ve World-wide-web access through the tunnels and stations on my route. My wife laughs about my obsession with this, but she is hooked on particular Television shows herself. I’m wondering if I ought to tell her that she can watch her shows online also.
good one
