James Cameron’s Avatar – New Details

Time Magazine has released an article detailing the 3D production behind James Cameron’s first movie since Titanic, Avatar, which is a 3D Sci-Fi flick coming out this December.

Some interesting bits are:

- Avatar is being shot in old Howard Hughes “Spruce Goose” hangar which is 16,000 square feet

- James Cameron plans on every new movie he does to be in 3D

- While rumored to have costed 300 million, it has been corrected in saying excess of 200 million

- Titanic is being remade in 3D (I personally didn’t care much for the dialogue and story, but the Titanic sinking scene in 3D would be awesome)

- George Lucas wants to re-release Stars Wars movies in 3D (How many times are these movies going to be in the theater?
