BSG: Where Are They Going?

After seeing the last night’s episode of Battlestar Galactica, the only question me and the other ThinkHero crew could ask is “Where are they going?”

Ever since BSG season 4.5 has started, there have been revealing things like the final cylon, cylon history on Earth,  and other stuff, but nothing really has come of it.  Just some stupid soap opera love triangle with Saul, Ellen, and Caprica 6.

None of it seems to be going in a singular direction.  Last night’s episode was a perfect example.  For a 42 minute show, barely anything of consequence happens. What did happen could have been shown in 5 minutes.

- Hera lands in Cylon Colony

- Adama decides to abandon Galactica

- Baltar reveals Starbuck’s secret

I don’t know what’s going to happen the final 2 episodes, but right now I’m thinking they should have left it on the final episode of 4.0 when they find Earth.

What did you guys think of the episode and how the series is going?

Yeah, I’m VERY confused about all this. Only two episodes to wrap everything up? I mean, I love the character driven, introspective episodes but…with only three left? How are they gonna do this?

Not sure, but it’s very frustrating. Following the series, and seeing how great it can be, but now it seems kind of lost, and they are just making filler episodes.

To be honest I have absolutely hated every single episode of 4.5
It's been the worst TV that I watch, I feel absolutely betrayed by the writers/producers, but I keep coming back to finish it out purely because I feel so invested in the show after 3 seasons of the best TV I can ever remember. I hate to get all "self fulfilling prophecy" on myself, but I don't think there is anything that they can do to rekindle my interest in the last 2 episodes.
I've just been so pissed about it to be honest. I agree though with you Dennis, they should've dropped the series at the end of season 3 and left it at that. We all knew BSG wouldn't be a happy ending with questions left unanswered, but it seems like now they're just going out of their way to destroy what awesome sauce they had.

Yeah season 4.5 has been pretty shitty, some more than others. After the reveal of the Fifth Cylon, I knew it was going downhill. They pulled that one out of their ass.

Exactly how I felt. Exactly. I was totally like, awww, look at that . . . painted themselves into a corner. At least that's how it felt to me.

At this point I truly feel the only mystery left that I am remotely curious about is what's up with Thrace; and even that is only in passing because they're really only letting snippets of that side story out at a time.

They have so alienated me as a viewer that I don't care that Galactica is crumbling, I don't care that the 1's kidnapped Hera, and I don't care anymore that Madame President is dying.

For me it'll be so sweet when episode 20 is finished and done with; I'll feel just like I did after my last session of water boarding.

I think most people are only concerned about Starbuck's mystery now. Most speculation is saying that Kara Thrace is the boxed 7 Cylon Daniel. With the whole artist thing, and her resurrection.
