According to Sci Fi Wire, the financially challenged 3-D production of the Astro Boy movie is now resuming, and looking to be ready for it’s October released.
Reports earlier this year said the animators were being laid off because of financially difficulty with the production company Imagi. I guess it was a temporary hold, until they got gather up some more money, and now everyone is back on the job.
I’m glad to hear that, not just because of the movie, but I hate when things are left unfinished, especially when they are halfway or close to being done.
Are you guys happy about this news?

As a big Astro Boy fan, I’m super happy that they’re actually going to put it out
More like bad news. This movie looks terrible. I’ll take the 1960s series on DVD over this garbage any day.
I was skeptical at first, when I thought the movie was going to be live action, but seeing some of the animation and concept art has swayed me to be semi-excited for the movie.
