Megatron In Transformers 2?

Thanks to SlashFilm for heads up on this news. So far according to Michael Bay, he has repeatedly said that Megatron was not going to be in the Transformers sequel. But then again he also has said he will be purposely giving out false information mixed with rel information until the movie opens. Well, now there seems to be hints that Megatron will indeed be in the sequel or in future sequels in some form.

The packaging for the Bumblee Toy for the Transformers: Revenge of The Fallen movie, has emerged and shows off Megatron fighting Bumblebee. So if he’s not in the movie, why the hell is he fighting on the packing for toys of the movies? Also written on the toy packaging it says:
“The moment his sensor net registered Megatron going offline, Starscream knew that battle was over and the Allspark lost. He converted to vehicle mode and boosted for outer space, hoping to buy enough time to rally the Decepticon survivors. Returning from Cybertron bearing the marks won during his reign over the Decepticon army, he is cocused on conquest. With a new army behind him, he has the strength to pursue his own goals, and perhaps, when the time is right, bring Megatron back.”
So either the toy manufacturers made a huge mistake by including Megatron, or they just disproved Michael Bay’s disinformation with the toy packaging.
As someone who was disappointed at the Transformers movie (loved the 1985 animated one), I still will be watching the sequel and hoping they correct the flaws of the sequels (won’t hold my breath though). What did you guys think of the first movie, and what are your thoughts on the original animated one?
